Tug Tavernilla (1915);
Served as USS Tavernilla (ID # 3000) in 1917-1919.
Tavernilla, a steam tug, was built in 1915. Owned by
the Panama Canal Commission, she was taken over by the U.S. Navy
and commissioned as USS Tavernilla (ID # 3000) in July
1917. In February 1919, following the end of World War I, she
was returned to her owners.

Photographed in 1915-1917.
This Panama Canal Commission tug was commissioned in the U.S.
Navy as USS Tavernilla (ID # 3000) on 19 July 1917. She
was returned to her owner on 8 February 1919.
The original is in National Archives' Record Group 19-LCM.
