USS Fulton (AS-11)

Near the Mare Island Navy Yard on 22 November 1941 two months after completion.
Fulton was the only ship of the class completed with two open 5"/38 gun mounts and splinter protection (gun tubs) around all four mounts. Her main battery installation was later upgraded to resemble the later ships of the class, probably at an overhaul at Mare Island between April and June 1944.
