USS Zebra (AKN-5)

In San Francisco Bay on 28 August 1945 after an overhaul at Oakland between May and July.
During this overhaul the ship was fully upgraded to the standards of the Indus (AKN-1) class. The horizontal stiffeners on the side may be an effort to strengthen the hull in the way of the 1943 torpedo damage.
